  • Merzouga is approximately 560 km (350 miles) from Marrakech. The drive takes around 8–9 hours each way, with stops for sightseeing, meals, and breaks. The journey is broken into manageable sections over the 3 days, so you won’t be traveling too long at once.

A small backpack for your essentials during the camel trek. A flashlight or headlamp for the desert camp. Cash for tips, lunch, and any souvenirs, as ATMs are limited in remote areas.

  • The camel trek is a unique and enjoyable experience, but: It may not be suitable for people with back issues, pregnant women, or young children under 6 years old.
